VPRS 9692 General Correspondence Files, Multiple Number System
The series consists of general correspondence files created by the Grain Elevators Board (VA 1057) from 1934 to 1986, with the exception of a number of litigation case files that continue to 1990.

The files contain inward ...

Do not let thermal drift and instrument artifacts deceive high‐temperature nanoindentation results. We compare classical Oliver–Pharr and automatic image recognition analyses across steels and a Ni alloy to quantify these effects. Accounting for artifacts reveals systematic softening with temperature, while Cr and Ni additions boost resistance ...

Other title: At head of page [3]: Report relating to seed grain for western Kansas
It is a well-known fact that, owing to a failure of crops in western Kansas, a number of the farmers in many counties of that section are without seed grain and have no means with which to purchase the same.

The experiments were laid out to understand the mechanisms causing yield limitations imposed by post-anthesis water and nitrogen deficiencies in plants with modified source-sink ratios. Two soil-water regimes were allotted to the main plots. At anthesis,

Creep Properties and Deformation Mechanism of Additively Manufactured NiAl‐CrMo Composites
Additively manufactured NiAl‐CrMo composites contain numerous interfaces and cell boundaries that control their creep response. At 700°C under high applied stress, creep is dominated by dislocation‐controlled power‐law mechanisms. At 800°C–900°C and lower stresses, creep is primarily diffusion‐controlled along cell boundaries.

VARIATION IN GRAIN YIELD, BIOMASS AND GRAIN NUMBER OF BARLEY UNDER DROUGHT
Variability in grain yield (GY), aerial biomass (BM) and number of grains m-2 (G M-2) in F6 lines and commercial varieties of barley was studied, and the relationship among these characters in full-irrigation (FI), drought (D) and rain-fed (RF) conditions was determined. Variation in GY, BM and G M-2 among all genotypes, between F6 lines and varieties,

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.
