Commissioning instrument for the Gran Telescopio Canarias

The CI features four operation modes-imaging, pupil imaging, Curvature WFS, and high resolution Shack-Hartmann WFS. After the GTC Commissioning we also plan to install a Pyramid WFS.

Adaptive optics for the Gran Telescopio Canarias
SPIE Proceedings, 1998It is foreseen that the Gran Telescopio Canarias will include an Adaptive Optics (AO) system to provide diffraction-limited images in the near-IR. The preliminary scientific requirements are presented here and are used to determine the basic system specifications. The sky coverage is determined for the cases of natural and laser guide stars.

The Occurrence of Mycoplasmas in the Lungs of Swine in Gran Canaria (Spain)
Veterinary Research Communications, 2005The study was conducted to investigate the mycoplasmal flora in the lungs of pigs with enzootic pneumonia at Gran Canaria (Spain). From 54 pneumonic lungs collected at an abattoir, 85 isolates were cultivated. On the basis of cultural and biochemical characteristics, the isolates were preliminarily identified as Mycoplasma species.
