Grand unified theories

AIP Conference Proceedings, 1984
An overview of current topics and problems in the attempt to construct a Grand Unified Theory is presented. (AIP)

Grand Unified Theories

1996
I would like to begin by thanking Nino Zichichi, Harvey Newman, Tom Ypsilantis, and all the staff for the opportunity to be in this beautiful place and to reminisce about a fun decade of physics. Because time is so short, I am going to focus very narrowly on the decade of the 70′s, and to concentrate particularly on a 24 hour period which, for me, was ...

Grand Unified Theories

1979
Since the topics discussed in these lectures are covered by other recent publications of the author, we agreed with the author’s decision not to publish lecture notes in the proceedings.

Grand Unified Theories

1992
Attempts of going beyond the standard model to achieve a unification of all particle interactions lead to constructions called grand unifications, or grand unified theories. Two such theories are discussed in this chapter.

Grand Unified Theory (GUT)

2009
The great achievements of mathematical physics, such as providing a broad picture of our universe from the very small to the very large and giving both to technological advances, are the result of mathematical modeling whose principle tools are computation and measurement.

Supergravity and grand unified theories

Physica D: Nonlinear Phenomena, 1985
Abstract We discuss the role of N = 1 supergravity in grand unified theories in which the gauge group and supersymmetry are spontaneously broken in the same sector. Two examples are given: one in which supersymmetry is broken using the O'Raifeartaigh mechanism, and one in which it is broken using a new method of symmetry breaking.

Construction of grand unified theories

Annals of Physics, 1991
Abstract Systematic treatment of the theoretical and aesthetic requirements employed in the construction of unifying groups and their representations is given. Formulating the extensive set of conditions and giving reasons for them we derive a much more compact class of unified models than the one already discussed in the literature. It is shown that

Introduction to Grand Unified Theories

1989
Grand unified theories (GUTs) postulate that the $$E > M_{GUM} \left( {grandunificationmass} \right).$$
