Real Wages, Inflation and Labour Productivity in Australia [PDF]

open access: yes

The Impact of Democratization and Globalization on Environmental Sustainability in Brazil

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
Fossil fuel, economic globalisation, and economic growth drive environmental degradation while democratisation positively influences environmental quality. ABSTRACT Although Brazil still possesses significant ecological reserves, the surplus in its biocapacity has been rapidly declining in recent years.

Does money matter for U.S. inflation? Evidence from Bayesian VARs [PDF]

open access: yes
We use Bayesian estimation techniques to investigate whether money growth Granger-causes inflation in the United States. We test for Granger-causality out-of-sample and find, perhaps surprisingly given recent theoretical arguments, that including money ...

Advancing Environmental Sustainability Through Wind Energy, Green Technology, and Fintech: A Quantile Perspective From Germany's Low‐Carbon Transition

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
The current study examines the role of Fintech, wind energy, and green technology in determining environmental suitability in Germany from 2000 to 2024. The study employs time series econometric methods to estimate the QQR and QR techniques. The positive effects of wind production, FinTech, Natural Resources and green technology on environmental ...

Testing for non-causality by using the Autoregressive Metric [PDF]

open access: yes
A new non-causality test based on the notion of distance between ARMA models is proposed in this paper. The advantage of this test is that it can be used in possible integrated and cointegrated systems, without pre-testing for unit roots and ...

Do Prices Matter for Healthcare Accessibility? Evidence From a Means‐Tested Complementary Health Insurance in France

open access: yesHealth Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In France, the Couverture Maladie Universelle Complémentaire (CMU‐C) scheme is a means‐tested, state‐financed, complementary health insurance program that fully covers healthcare. Using administrative claims data and a staggered difference‐in‐differences approach, we estimate the impact of enrollment in the program on healthcare utilization ...

Medicare Part D and Hospital Admissions due to Antimicrobial Resistance

open access: yesHealth Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has been increasing rapidly in the United States despite government efforts to contain its spread. Both under‐utilization and overuse of prescribed antimicrobials contribute to rising resistance. The introduction of Medicare Part D in 2006 expanded prescription drug coverage for the elderly, including coverage ...

The Granger Non-Causality Test in Cointegrated Vector Autoregressions [PDF]

open access: yes
In general, Wald tests for the Granger non-causality in vector autoregressive (VAR) process are known to have non-standard asymptotic properties for cointegrated systems.

The Role of AI in Performance Appraisal: A Mixed‐Method Study of Employee Experience Through a Relational Lens

open access: yesHuman Resource Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes more common in human resource management (HRM), especially in performance appraisals, questions arise about how employees respond to AI involvement in these processes. While existing research often treats AI as a technical tool, this study also views AI as a social actor that interacts with employees ...

Testing Granger Causality under Dynamic Covariance

open access: yesTesting Granger Causality under Dynamic Covariance
The paper considers the Granger causality tests based on the hetersokedasticity-consistent covariance matrix of White (1980). The Monte Carlo experiments show that the conventional test over-rejects the null hypothesis of non-causality, while the proposed test works satisfactory. The proposed test also has enough power.
