Applying granular computing theories to system modelling with optimised development process
This paper focuses on adapting the Granular Theories to system modelling for design and development of a service-oriented system. It highlights how to integrate Granular Computing Structures, development philosophy, methodology and UML for modelling ...

Equivalent Characterizations of Some Graph Problems by Covering-Based Rough Sets
Covering is a widely used form of data structures. Covering-based rough set theory provides a systematic approach to this data. In this paper, graphs are connected with covering-based rough sets.

Granular computing techniques are a huge discipline in which the basic component is to operate on groups of similar objects according to a fixed similarity measure. The first references to the granular computing can be seen in the works of Zadeh in fuzzy

UNCERTAINTY MANAGEMENT IN SEISMIC VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT USING GRANULAR COMPUTING BASED ON COVERING OF UNIVERSE [PDF]
Earthquake is an abrupt displacement of the earth's crust caused by the discharge of strain collected along faults or by volcanic eruptions. Earthquake as a recurring natural cataclysm has always been a matter of concern in Tehran, capital of Iran, as a ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Wind Power Prediction Based on a Hybrid Granular Chaotic Time Series Model
For realizing high-accuracy short-term wind power prediction, a hybrid model considering physical features of data is proposed in this paper, with consideration of chaotic analysis and granular computing.

Granular computing on basic digraphs
In the present paper we investigate (p, q)-directed complete bipartite graphs ?K p,q, n-directed paths ?Pn and n-directed cycles ?C n from the perspective of Granular Computing. For each model, we establish the general form of all possible indiscernibility relations, analyze the classical rough approximation functions of rough set theory and provide a ...

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Informational Granules in Interactive Granular Computing †
Informational granules are crucial objects in Interactive Granular Computing (IGrC). They are making it possible to link abstract objects and physical (not mathematical) objects in processes related to perceiving situations in the real world.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...
