FACIAL GRANULOMA WITH EOSINOPHILIA (GRANULOMA FACIALE)
Archives of Dermatology, 1952FROM THE extensive literature recently published concerning ``eosinophilic granuloma of the skin," there seems to have emerged a group of cases in which the disease is distinctive enough clinically, and specific enough histologically to constitute an entity. The condition has been called "facial granuloma with eosinophilia'' or ``granuloma faciale'' by

Lethal Midline Granuloma Starting as Granuloma Laryngis
Tumori Journal, 2000We report a case of lethal midline granuloma in a 34-year-old male patient. The patient was referred to our hospital because of long-lasting hoarseness. He was treated for granuloma laryngis. After two years nasal obstruction developed followed by ulceration of the hard palate and destruction of part of the nose and the upper lip.

Is Actinic Granuloma Really Granuloma Annulare?
Archives of Dermatology, 1986In 1975, O'Brien 1 described actinic granuloma and indirectly proposed criteria for diagnosis: (1) Annular, slowly enlarging plaques develop on exposed, weather-beaten skin of patients at least 30 or 40 years of age. (2) Elastotic material is present within giant cells, and the inflammation is granulomatous.

Granuloma annular (GA) is a benign inflammatory skin disease usually localized to the distal extremities, although generalized, perforating, and subcutaneous variants have also been identified. A regular histopathologic feature is the presence of mononuclear cells, often in palisading array, around foci of altered collagen.

Granulomatous diseases of the liver span a huge range of infectious, drug-related, and immunologic disorders. Familiarity with the different types of granulomas as well as how they present in different diseases can be helpful in narrowing the pathologic differential diagnosis.

Silicone compounds have recently been a source of controversy with regard to their potential role in the genesis of collagen vascular diseases. Foreign body reactions to injectable silicone were noted early in its cosmetic use and led to subsequent abandonment of this procedure.

A retrospective review of cases of pyogenic granuloma seen at the King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia between 1984-1991 is described. Epidemiology and the factors that led to the granuloma formation were examined and only cases documented histopathologically were included in the review.

A punch biopsy was done to diagnose a progressive pustular facial rash in a middle-aged woman. The biopsy specimen disclosed an intact extrafollicular Demodex folliculorum, which may be the causative organism. A review of 30 cases of granulomatous facial lesions from the Mayo Clinic indicated that this finding is uncommon.
