Non‐RASopathy Genetic Syndromes Identified as the Molecular Cause of Disease in Patients Previously Diagnosed With Noonan Syndrome

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Noonan Syndrome (NS) is a clinically and genetically heterogeneous condition characterized by typical facial dysmorphisms, short stature, congenital heart defects, and developmental delays. While variants in genes such as PTPN11, SOS1, and RAF1 account for most genetically confirmed cases, diagnosis is challenging due to phenotypic overlap ...

Toll-like receptor expression in C3H/HeN and C3H/HeJ mice during Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium infection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Here, we have investigated the mRNA expression of Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR-2), TLR-4, and MD-2 in spleens and livers of C3H/HeN mice (carrying wild-type TLR-4) and C3H/HeJ mice (carrying mutated TLR-4) in response to Salmonella infection.

Biocompatibility and healing patterns in experimentally induced canine tibial fractures using Pedicle screw‐Rod external fixation

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that using a Pedicle screw‐Rod configuration for the external fixation of non‐articular tibial osteotomy aligns well with the principles of biological osteosynthesis, resulting in secondary bone healing characterized by callus formation and neovascularization.

High ESAT-6 Expression in Granuloma Necrosis Type of Tuberculous Lymphadenitis

open access: yesGlobal Medical & Health Communication, 2018
A granuloma is one of host cellular immune response form to intracellular and persistent pathogens, and result in the aggregation of several activated immune cells. Intracellular pathogens manipulate host immune responses to avoid immune reactions.

Host reaction in paratenic fish hosts against 3rd stage larvae of Anguillicola crassus [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
Many fish species of Lake Balaton (Hungary) serve as paratenic hosts for the 3rd stage larvae of the eel parasite Anguillicola crassus. The incidence oi different phases of the host reaction varies with paratenic fish host but its nature is basically the
