We report two cases of labial swelling (oral and vulvar) with a granulomatous histology in patients with a history of Crohn’s disease. The differential diagnosis of granulomatous vulvitis and cheilitis, as well as the symptomatology and treatment of vulvar and oral Crohn’s disease are further discussed.

Silica Granuloma Mimicking Granulomatous Cheilitis

A 45-year-old female presented with macrocheilitis of the upper lip. Histologically numerous well-demarcated granulomas were present in the dermis and hypodermis. Examination under polarized light revealed birefringent crystalline particles. The patient had suffered a road accident 25 years ago.
