OClustR: A new graph-based algorithm for overlapping clustering [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Clustering is a Data Mining technique, which has been widely used in many practical applications. From these applications, there are some, like social network analysis, topic detection and tracking, information retrieval, categorization of digital ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Generalized Graph Clustering: Recognizing (p,q)-Cluster Graphs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
CLUSTER EDITING is a classical graph theoretic approach to tackle the problem of data set clustering: it consists of modifying a similarity graph into a disjoint union of cliques, i.e, clusters. As pointed out in a number of recent papers, the cluster editing model is too rigid to capture common features of real data sets.

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Fast Spectral Clustering via Efficient Multilayer Anchor Graph

open access: yesInternational Journal of Aerospace Engineering
Recent studies have shown that graph-based clustering methods are good at processing hyperspectral images (HSIs), while falling short for large-scale HSIs due to high time complexity.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Completely connected clustered graphs

open access: yesJournal of Discrete Algorithms, 2003
A clustered graph \((G,T,r)\) consists of a graph \(G=(V,E)\), a tree \(T\), and an inner vertex \(r\) of \(T\) such that the set of leaves of \(T\) is exactly \(V\). A clustered graph is said to be completely connected if every cluster, and also each complement of a cluster, induces a connected subgraph.

Multi-type relational clustering approaches : current state-of-the-art and new directions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The proliferation of multi-type relational datasets in a number of important real-world applications and the limitations resulting from the transformation of such datasets to fit propositional data mining approaches have led to the emergence of the ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting
