In this research, ZrC coatings are evaluated against various counterprobes at the microscale using novel super‐stiff atomic force microscopy cantilevers. The chemical composition of the coating is shown to be an important factor influencing coating hardness and Young's modulus, while surface roughness, counterprobe hardness, and surface energy are the ...

Graph Neural Networks on Graph Databases
Training graph neural networks on large datasets has long been a challenge. Traditional approaches include efficiently representing the whole graph in-memory, designing parameter efficient and sampling-based models, and graph partitioning in a distributed setup. Separately, graph databases with native graph storage and query engines have been developed,

High‐performance nickel‐based superalloys are often not processible in additive manufacturing (AM) due to hot cracking. The findings in this manuscript propose an efficient method to mitigate cracking and enhance mechanical properties of these alloys by producing a metal matrix composite, contributing to the material and process perspective of the AM ...

Structurally Colored Physically Unclonable Functions with Ultra‐Rich and Stable Encoding Capacity
This study reports a design strategy for generating bright‐field resolvable physically unclonable functions with extremely rich encoding capacity coupled with outstanding thermal and chemical stability. The optical response emerges from thickness‐dependent structural color formation in ZnO features, which are fabricated by physical vapor deposition ...

Learning Path Queries on Graph Databases
We investigate the problem of learning graph queries by exploiting user examples. The input consists of a graph database in which the user has labeled a few nodes as positive or negative examples, depending on whether or not she would like the nodes as part of the query result.

The fabrication of a cellularized, multilayered 3D printed cylindrical model comprising hybrid bioinks inspired by the natural extracellular environment as an approach to artery mimetics, is presented. Using embedded bioprinting, interlayer crosslinking of self‐supporting concentric cylinders is achieved.

A lack of standard approaches for testing and reporting the performance of metal halide perovskites and organic semiconductor radiation detectors has resulted in inconsistent interpretation of performance parameters, impeding progress in the field. This Perspective recommends key metrics and experimental details, which are suggested for reporting in ...
