GDsmith: Detecting Bugs in Cypher Graph Database Engines
International Symposium on Software Testing and Analysis, 2023Graph database engines stand out in the era of big data for their efficiency of modeling and processing linked data. To assure high quality of graph database engines, it is highly critical to conduct automatic test generation for graph database engines ...

Graph data is an emerging model for representing a variety of database contexts ranging from object-oriented databases to hypertext data. Also many of the recursive queries that arise in relational databases are, in practice, graph traversals. In this paper we present a language for searching graph-like databases.

Graph Matching in Graph-Oriented Databases
2021Modern graph database management systems use graph structures for semantic queries with nodes, edges, and properties to connect to and store information. Due to their schema-less nature, inappropriate data migration and manipulation can lead to severe data loss during the data query process.

We have investigated using graphs as the foundation for database systems by developing a graph-based DBMS. We have demonstrated that: 1. Graph-based representations are useful for representing genome data. 2. A graph data model tailored to the requirements of genome data can be used as the basis of a database management system. 3.

Graph databases model relationships, not data. Just as SQL and RDBMS are based on logic and set theory, graph databases are based on graph theory. The classic example of a popular graph problem is called the “Kevin Bacon problem” in the literature. Given actor Kevin Bacon, a graph database links him to anyone else in the movie industry either by a ...
