Linear Layouts of Bipartite Planar Graphs

open access: yes, 2023
A linear layout of a graph $ G $ consists of a linear order $\prec$ of the vertices and a partition of the edges. A part is called a queue (stack) if no two edges nest (cross), that is, two edges $ (v,w) $ and $ (x,y) $ with $ v \prec x \prec y \prec w $ ($ v \prec x \prec w \prec y $) may not be in the same queue (stack).

Perceptual Organization in User-Generated Graph Layouts [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, 2008
Many graph layout algorithms optimize visual characteristics to achieve useful representations. Implicitly, their goal is to create visual representations that are more intuitive to human observers. In this paper, we asked users to explicitly manipulate nodes in a network diagram to create layouts that they felt best captured the relationships in the ...

Linear orderings of random geometric graphs (extended abstract) [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
In random geometric graphs, vertices are randomly distributed on [0,1]^2 and pairs of vertices are connected by edges whenever they are sufficiently close together.

Graph layout adjustment strategies [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
When adjusting a graph layout, it is often desirable to preserve various properties of the original graph in the adjusted view. Pertinent properties may include straightness of lines, graph topology, orthogonalities and proximities. A layout adjustment algorithm which can be used to create fisheye views of nested graphs is introduced.

Medical Fabrics with Non‐Antibiotic, Supramolecular Antimicrobial Coatings: A Preventive Approach to Combat Biofilm Formation and Bacterial Dissemination

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents an antibiotic‐free strategy using medical fabrics coated with supramolecular assemblies of polyarginine and hyaluronic acid. These coatings showed strong antimicrobial and anti‐biofilm activity in vitro and in vivo, achieving major bacterial load reductions, including against MRSA.

Label‐Free Sensing of Coronaviral Sequences via Kretschmann‐Configuration Reflectance Spectroscopic Ellipsometry: Sensitivity, Specificity, and Interfacial Effects

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Spectroscopic ellipsometry in the Kretschmann‐Raether configuration (KRSE) is employed to characterize a DNA‐functionalized platform for viral sequence recognition. By merging SE with surface plasmon resonance, KRSE outperforms conventional SE, achieving nanomolar targeting through resonance wavelength shifts (δλ) measurements. Its enhanced interfacial

Multiplexed Luminal Tissue Constructs with Reconfigurable Barriers for Dynamic Modeling of Multi‐Tissue Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study describes the fabrication of arrays of luminal tissue constructs for 3D luminal tissue modeling. An oil or media‐filled reservoir between constructs serves as a liquid barrier or bridge to regulate communication between lumens within the array for modeling multi‐tissue interactions in vitro. Abstract Cell‐lined luminal structures are crucial
