Discovery of Sustainable Energy Materials Via the Machine‐Learned Material Space

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
State‐of‐the‐art machine learning models used in materials science are shown to construct meaningful internal representations, which can be interpreted as a map of the material space from the viewpoint of the network. It shows how this map can be used to find alternative, e.g., more sustainable materials for important optical materials, such as ...

Advanced Characterization and Rejuvenation of End‐Of‐Life Lithium‐Ion Anodes: Toward the Development of a Green Upcycling Route

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Green solvents (DI water or ascorbic acid) enable the regeneration of end‐of‐vehicle‐life battery anodes without delamination and re‐manufacture. Multimodal characterizations reveal several graphite microstructures and crystallography, and restored cycling performance.
