Powers of connected graphs and hamiltonicity

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 1984
A graph G is n-hamiltonian (resp. n-edge hamiltonian) if after the removal of any k vertices (resp. edges) with 0\(\leq k\leq n\), the resulting graph is hamiltonian. The kth power of a graph G is the graph having the same vertex-set as G and such that u and v, vertices of \(G^ k\), are adjacent if and only if the distance between u and v in G is at ...

Illuminating New Frontiers: Exploring the Photosensitizing Potential of Passiflora Species in Combating Methicillin‐Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Their Infection in Senescent Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
This study investigates the photosensitizing potential of Passiflora cincinnata in Antimicrobial Photodynamic Therapy (aPDT) against skin infection caused by Methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in a senescent murine model. The P. cincinnata exhibits antimicrobial activity, with reduced bacterial load, lower leukocyte infiltration, and ...

On powers of m-trapezoid graphs

open access: yesDiscrete Applied Mathematics, 1995
The author introduces \(m\)-trapezoid graphs (\(m\)-TGs) as intersection graphs of \(m\)-trapezoids, where an \(m\)-trapezoid is given by \(m+ 1\) intervals on \(m+ 1\) parallel lines. (The class of 0-TGs is the class of interval graphs.) The main result concerns powers of graphs: If \(G^{k- 1}\) is an \(m\)-TG then \(G^k\) is also an \(m\)-TG.

Static and Dynamic Behavior of Novel Y‐Shaped Sandwich Beams Subjected to Compressive Loadings: Integration of Supervised Learning and Experimentation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the mechanical response of Y‐shaped core sandwich beams under compressive loading is investigated, using deep feed‐forward neural networks (DFNNs) for predictive modeling. The DFNN model accurately captures stress–strain behavior, influenced by design parameters and loading rates.
