Clinical Practice Guideline for Evaluation and Management of Peripheral Nervous System Manifestations in Sjögren's Disease

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Sjögren's disease is an autoimmune disorder that can impact multiple organ systems, including the peripheral nervous system (PNS). PNS manifestations, which can exist concurrently, include mononeuropathies, polyneuropathies, and autonomic nervous system neuropathies.

Association Between Symptomatic Knee Osteoarthritis and Target Glycemic Control in Individuals With Type 2 Diabetes

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Knee osteoarthritis (OA) commonly affects individuals with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and is associated with increased risk of diabetes‐related complications. To better understand potential mechanisms, we examined the association between symptomatic knee OA and glycemic control in individuals with T2DM.

Laplacian spectra of regular graph transformations

open access: yesDiscrete Applied Mathematics, 2013
For any given graph G = (V,E) we define in a certain way a new graph G(x,y,z) with the vertex set V\cup E depending on parameters x,y,z from {0,1, +, -} and call graph G(x,y,z) the (x,y,z)-transformation of G. It turns out that if G is an r-regular graph, then the Laplacian polynomial of G(x,y,z) is a function of |V|, r, and the Laplacian spectrum of G.

Artificial Intelligence in Systemic Sclerosis: Clinical applications, challenges, and future directions

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease defined by immune dysregulation, vasculopathy, and progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Despite advances in care, major complications such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myocardial involvement remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality.

On Unicyclic Graphs Spectra: New Results

open access: yes2016 IEEE Intl Conference on Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) and IEEE Intl Conference on Embedded and Ubiquitous Computing (EUC) and 15th Intl Symposium on Distributed Computing and Applications for Business Engineering (DCABES), 2016
Let G = (V, E) be a unicyclic simple undirected graph. In this paper, we investigate the spectra of a particular class of unicyclic graphs G(q, n1) where q is the size of the unique cycle. Each vertex of the unique cycle is attached to n1 vertices. We provide the " exact values " of the extremal eigenvalues of the adjacency matrix A and the Laplacian ...

Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting

A Numerical–Experimental Approach for Multi‐Matrix Fiber‐Reinforced Plastics Characterization Using Finite Element Model Updating

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.
