A Graph Theory Approach to Demographic Loop Analysis

Ecology, 1998
A demographic analysis of the life-cycle graph can be used to quantify the separate contributions of different life-history types to the population growth rate. Loop analysis has been proposed (van Groenendael et al. 1994) as the appropriate method for partitioning the elasticity matrix to determine these contributions.

Patent Big Data Analysis using Graph Theory

Advanced Science and Technology Letters, 2015
Patent big data analysis is to analyze patent document data by big data technologies. A patent document contains diverse and complete information of researched and developed technology, such as patent title and abstract, patent number, issued date, claim, drawing, etc. The velocity of increasing the number of applied patents is so fast. So, patent data

A graph theory analysis of renal glomerular microvascular networks

Microvascular Research, 2004
A graph theory model and its invariants are used to compare previously published renal glomerular networks of six adult rats, one adult uremic rat, and one newborn rat. Invariants calculated include order, size, cycle rank, eccentricity, root distance, planarity, and vertex degree distribution. These invariants enabled the differentiation of six normal

Mathematical analysis of Paleodictyon : a graph theory approach

Lethaia, 2005
The graphoglyptid ichnogenus Paleodictyon has been alternatively interpreted as a foraging or farming trace; as a subsurface burrow for the habitation of one or more unknown organisms; the remains of a xenophyophore; and as the result of modular growth of an unknown organism.

ANALYSIS OF COLLABORATIVE NETWORKS USING THE EXTREMAL GRAPH THEORY

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2006
Abstract In literature, a large number of studies on the Italian districts exhibit a portrait which points out the Italian economic specificity. A specific feature of the Italian districts is the large number of collaborative actions carried on by the associated enterprises which are not limited to the usual supply chain management problems.

Signal flow-graph analysis and feedback theory

Proceedings of the IEE Part C: Monographs, 1961
The solution of a system of simultaneous linear equations may obtained by inspection of an associated system of nodes and connecting branches called a `signal flow-graph'. This provides alternative to conventional algebraic methods which is of particular interest in the case of network analysis, since the flow graph can be set up directly by inspection

Graph-Theory Modeling and Structure-Matrix Analysis

2016
In this chapter, the graph theory is employed for modeling the HVAC components and system. By using the graph-theory models, the direct or indirect relationships among model’s input and output variables are clearly described. Meanwhile, the structure-matrix method is used to analyze the dynamic characteristics of various parts in the HVAC system ...
