Graphene quantum dots redefine nanobiomedicine

Materials Science and Engineering: C, 2020
Carbon-based nanomaterials have established a prime position as drug delivery carriers. It is very interesting to see that a carbon nanostructure could be used as a drug too, instead of its regular application as a drug delivery carrier. In this aspect, graphene quantum dots (GQDs) are now in the spotlight.

Transmission and scarring in graphene quantum dots

Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 2009
We study electronic transport in quantum-dot structures made of graphene. Focusing on the rectangular dot geometry and utilizing the non-equilibrium Green's function to calculate the transmission in the tight-binding framework, we find significant fluctuations in the transmission as a function of the electron energy.
