An Indexing Method for Graphical Documents
Ninth International Conference on Document Analysis and Recognition (ICDAR 2007) Vol 2, 2007In this paper, a method to browse symbols into graphi- cal documents is presented. More precisely, we propose a combined filtering and indexing mechanism that retrieves in an efficient way the most similar symbols to a given input query. For a database of 200000 symbols the retrieval time has been divided by a factor of 4, 5 compared to a linear search.

Clinical and Experimental Optometry, 1949SUMMARY The accommodation and convergence stimulus conditions to be met in orthoptic training may be simply and easily specified in the graphical system described. The use of arrows as symbols facilitates a direct representation of the desired type and degree of each of a variety of conventional training techniques.

Interval methods result in algorithms that are guaranteed not to miss parts of the contours or surfaces down to a specified size in the viewing region.
