Graphical Representation of Complex Numbers [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 1935
A SEARCH of the older texts has revealed an error in the analytical treatment of the graphical representation of complex numbers by Wessel in his original memoir on the subject to the Royal Academy of Denmark in 1797. The error has been perpetuated by many subsequent writers.

Graphics and representable fuzzifying matroids [PDF]

open access: yesProyecciones (Antofagasta), 2011
In this paper, a fuzzifying matroid is induced respectively from a fuzzy graph and a fuzzy vector subspace. The concepts of graphic fuzzifying matroid and representable fuzzifying matroid are presented and some properties of them are discussed. In general, a graphic fuzzifying matriod can not be representable over any field.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

A Novel Graphical Technique for Combinational Logic Representation and Optimization

open access: yesComplexity, 2017
We present a new technique for defining, analysing, and simplifying digital functions, through hand-calculations, easily demonstrable therefore in the classrooms. It can be extended to represent discrete systems beyond the Boolean logic.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Dual PI3K/AKT and CDK4/6 inhibition reveals selective sensitivity in an SHH medulloblastoma stem cell model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.
