Random Test Generation from Regular Expressions for Graphical User Interface (GUI) Testing

open access: yes2019 IEEE 19th International Conference on Software Quality, Reliability and Security Companion (QRS-C), 2019
Generation of test sequences, that is, (user) inputs - expected (system) outputs, is an important task of testing of graphical user interfaces (GUI). This work proposes an approach to randomly generate test sequences that might be used for comparison with existing GUI testing techniques to evaluate their efficiency.

User-centred design of flexible hypermedia for a mobile guide: Reflections on the hyperaudio experience [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
A user-centred design approach involves end-users from the very beginning. Considering users at the early stages compels designers to think in terms of utility and usability and helps develop the system on what is actually needed.
