Electroadsorption of uranium on amidoxime modified graphite felt

Separation and Purification Technology, 2021
Abstract Electrode materials have an important influence on the performance of electroadsorption. In this paper, Polyacrylonitrile was introduced to the graphite surface by coating method, then amidoxime reaction was carried out by one-step hydrothermal method.

Removal of silver using graphite-felt electrodes

Journal of Applied Electrochemistry, 1993
We describe an experimental investigation into the recovery of silver from photographic process wastes by means of a flow-through reactor with a graphite-felt cathode. The effects of the cathode potential on the silver reduction rate and on the faradic efficiency of the process at low silver concentration (10 to 500 mg/dm 3 ) are specifically ...

Mass Transport Properties of Silicified Graphite Felt Electrodes

The Journal of Physical Chemistry C, 2013
Mass transport properties of electrodes prepared from graphite felt, as such and after silicification, have been studied using cyclic voltammetry. Within the graphite felt, the mass transport of a probe changes with decreasing scan rate, from a radial diffusion around fibers to a regime that is analogous to “thin-layer” systems.

Mass transfer to a carbon or graphite felt electrode

Electrochimica Acta, 1990
Abstract Mass transfer correlations to a carbon or graphite felt flow-through electrode have been established using two electrochemical reactions: [Fe(CN)6]3− /[Fe(CN)6]4− and Hg2+/Hg0. The correlations a*kmvsv obtained with hexzcyanoferrate were reproducible and independent of electrode thickness.

Graphene Functionalized Carbon Felt/Graphite Felt Fabrication as Electrodes for Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries (VRBs): A Review

Pertanika Journal of Science and Technology, 2023
The growth in the development of renewable energy sources has led to tremendous attention to the research in energy storage systems. One of the electrochemical energy storage systems that have shown great potential to be used on a large scale is vanadium redox flow batteries (VRBs), as they possess flexible designs, long life cycles, and high energy ...

Modified Graphite Felt Electrode. Application to Electrocatalysis

1998
Homogeneously electrooxidized graphite felt electrode was modified by various organo-metallic compounds. The homogeneity of the τ-bonding inside the porous electrode was controlled by cyclic voltammetry and the volume density of attached redox centers was obtained by coulometric measurements.

Electrochemical disinfection of simulated ballast water on PbO 2 /graphite felt electrode

Marine Pollution Bulletin, 2016
A novel PbO2/graphite felt electrode was constructed by electrochemical deposition of PbO2 on graphite felt and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis. The prepared electrode is a viable technology for inactivation of Escherichia coli, Enterococcus faecalis, and Artemia salina as indicator ...
