Basicity‐Engineered Graphite Fluoride Functionalization and Beyond: An Unusual Reaction between Ultraweak Nucleophile and Ultrastrong CF Bonds

Advanced Functional Materials, 2019
Graphite fluoride‐launched graphene functionalization has attracted increasing interest in recent years. Highly basic nucleophiles are normally employed for ultrastrong CF bonding.

Discharge characteristics of graphite fluoride prepared via graphite oxide

Journal of Power Sources, 1987
The discharge performance of graphite fluoride, prepared by fluorinating residual carbon from the thermal decomposition of graphite oxide, has been evaluated. In most cases, the graphite fluoride was (CF)n. That prepared from flaky natural graphite gave a higher OCV and discharge potential than (C2F)n prepared by direct fluorination; the overpotential ...

Intercalation of halogen fluorides into graphite

Journal of Fluorine Chemistry, 1978
Abstract IF 7 intercalates into graphite accompanied by the partial fluorination of the graphite host. The intercalated species was identified as IF 5 by IR and 19 F nmr spectroscopies. Mass spectrometric analyses of the gases evolved from the intercalate showed only IF 5 and fluorocarbons.

Nonmainstream Out‐Plane Fluoro‐ and Amino‐Cofunctionalized Graphene for a Striking Electrocatalyst: Programming Substitutive/Reductive Defluorination toward Graphite Fluoride

Advanced Materials Interfaces, 2019
It is mostly reported that graphene lattice doped/codoped with heteroatoms (e.g., nitrogen and boron) in an in‐plane fashion exhibits an impressive oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) electrocatalytic efficiency when serving as a metal‐free catalyst, but the

Multiple coated graphite oxide – sand composites for fluoride removal in water

, 2021
In drinking water treatment, sand filters are frequently used to remove turbidity. We enhanced the performance of the sand by a chemical modification using graphite oxide (GO).

Graphite fluoride reinforced PA6 composites: Crystallization and mechanical properties

Materials Today Communications, 2018
Graphite fluoride (GrF) platelets were directly incorporated into polyamide 6 (PA6) by simple melt processing without using any surfactant. Due to the hydrogen bonding interaction between the filler and the matrix, GrF at a low loading shows good ...
