Winter biomass potential of four cover crop species: Wheat, rye, triticale, and canola

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract This study examines variability in predicted aboveground biomass (AGB) of winter cover crops (CCs) across Nebraska, focusing on wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), rye (Secale cereale L.), triticale (× Triticosecale), and canola (Brassica napus L.).

Sorghum tolerance and weed control with amicarbazone and metribuzin applied preemergence

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract Groundwater contamination has prompted the Environmental Protection Agency to consider restricting atrazine use, highlighting the need for alternative preemergence herbicides in grain sorghum (Sorghum Moench). Research was conducted in 2023 and 2024 to evaluate grain sorghum tolerance and weed control from preemergence applications of ...

Effects of uncrewed aerial vehicle–applied triclopyr plus fluroxypyr rates on weeds and desirable forbs in Kansas tallgrass prairie

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract We studied the impacts of uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV)‐applied triclopyr + fluroxypyr on rangeland weeds and other forbs in native tallgrass prairie. Two rates were tested: high (0.63 kg ae ha−1 triclopyr + 0.21 kg ae ha−1 fluroxypyr) and low (0.21 kg ae ha−1 triclopyr + 0.07 kg ae ha−1 fluroxypyr).

Integrating Circular Economy and Regenerative Agricultural Practices on Farms in a Developing Country Context

open access: yesBusiness Strategy &Development, Volume 9, Issue 3, September 2026.
ABSTRACT The current state of agricultural production is characterised by a linear model of production and consumption, which has led to negative environmental consequences. In Argentina, the agricultural sector plays a crucial role in the economy, particularly in the Pampas region.

Implementing potential climate‐smart practices through diverse partnerships

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, Volume 8, Issue 5, Page 1584-1598, September 2026.
Climate change is one of the greatest threats to society, negatively impacting agriculture and crop yields. Globally, agriculture is also one of the largest greenhouse gas (GHG) emitting sectors. Climate‐smart practices that are developed through diverse partnerships with scientists and practitioners are needed to decrease GHG emissions. We implemented
