Von Mises stress contour plots from finite element analysis of the intrinsic scenarios modelled to the mandibles of the bush dog (Speothos venaticus), grey wolf (Canis lupus) and grey fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus). Asterisks indicate the placement of the tooth bite. The mean von Mises stress of each scenario is shown in the bottom right.

Where will the dhole survive in 2030? Predicted strongholds in mainland Southeast Asia
Populations of dhole (Cuon alpinus) are declining in Southeast Asia, but no previous study has evaluated populations at a regional scale. We modeled suitable habitat using presence‐only camera trap data of dhole and prey in mainland Southeast Asia and assessed threat levels to identify dhole long‐term strongholds.

Diet and prey selection of clouded leopards and tigers in Laos
We conducted the first ever dietary study of the mainland clouded leopard (Neofelis nebulosa), as well as the first dietary study of tigers (Panthera tigris) from hilly evergreen forests in Southeast Asia. Both felids consumed mostly wild pig (Sus scrofa), although mainland serow (Capricornis sumatraensis) was the only ungulate species that they ...

A Cross‐View Gait Recognition Method Using Two‐Way Similarity Learning
Gait recognition is a powerful tool for long‐distance identification. However, gaits are influenced by walking environments and appearance changes. Therefore, the gait recognition rate declines sharply when the viewing angle changes. In this work, we propose a novel cross‐view gait recognition method with two‐way similarity learning.

Ventral color morphs in wall lizards have often been assumed to reflect alternative reproductive strategies. In this study, we study the social behavior, space use, and reproductive success of Podarcis muralis color morphs both in a free‐ranging population from the eastern Pyrenees and in ten experimental mesocosm enclosures.

Using parametric model order reduction for inverse analysis of large nonlinear cardiac simulations
We propose to reduce the structural dimension of a monolithically coupled structure‐Windkessel cardiac model using projection‐based MOR with proper orthogonal decomposition. We incorporate parametric model order reduction into a novel gradient‐based inverse analysis approach.

Abstract Although rooted in reality, partner perceptions often reflect wishful thinking due to perceivers' needs. Dispositional needs, or motives, can differ between persons; however, little is known about their differential associations with everyday partner perception.

Exergoeconomic analysis for crude oil gathering and transportation system in matrix pattern
According to the analysis of the distribution for logistics and exergy flow, the crude oil gathering and transportation system is divided into two subsystems: pipe network and oil transfer station. And exergoeconomic evaluation indicators such as exergy cost growth coefficient, relative cost difference, and exergoeconomic coefficient are calculated to ...

Deformation of Batalin-Vilkovisky Structures
A Batalin-Vilkovisky formalism is most general framework to construct consistent quantum field theories. Its mathematical structure is called {\it a Batalin-Vilkovisky structure}.
