A Biologically‐Architected Wear and Damage‐Resistant Nanoparticle Coating From the Radular Teeth of Cryptochiton stelleri

The ultrahard teeth of mollusks that feed on rocky substrates contain a wear‐resistant coating on their surfaces consisting of densely packed mesocrystalline magnetic nanoparticles within an organic matrix. These coatings display significant hardness and toughness through their highly controlled mesocrystalline architectures.

Contact Lens with Moiré Patterns for High‐Precision Eye Tracking

This work presents a passive contact lens for high‐precision eye tracking, integrating a microscopic moiré grating label. The parallax‐induced shift of macroscopic moiré patterns enables angle measurement with 0.28° precision using a standard camera under ambient light.

Pri výskume Kaplnky sv. Jakuba na Námestí SNP v Bratislave v roku 1994 sa našla sklená perla z ruženca. Nález pochádza z Cintorína sv. Vavrinca, no nenašiel sa priamo v hrobovom kontexte, ale vo vrstve obsahujúcej množstvo kostrových pozostatkov.
