Geophysical and geological interpretation of the Vienna Basin pre-Neogene basement (Slovak part of the Vienna Basin)

open access: yesGeologica Carpathica, 2019
The Vienna Basin is situated at the contact of the Bohemian Massif, Western Carpathians, and Eastern Alps. Deep borehole data and an existing magnetotelluric profile were used in density modelling of the pre-Neogene basement in the Slovak part of the ...

Research Article. Towards a tidal loading model for the Argentine-German Geodetic Observatory (La Plata)

open access: yesJournal of Geodetic Science, 2017
We present a regionalized model of ocean tidal loading effects for the Argentine-German Geodetic Observatory in La Plata. It provides the amplitudes and phases of gravity variations and vertical deformation for nine tidal constituents to be applied as ...

A Perspective on the Applications of Triphasic Gas Storage in Electrochemical Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Gas storage in microporous materials positioned locally at an electrode or electrocatalyst surface enhances electrochemical processes. Abstract Microporous materials store gases under dry conditions (e.g., hydrogen or oxygen via physisorption), but in some cases microporous materials also show triphasic (e.g., in a solid|gas|liquid system) gas storage ...

O‐GlcNAcylated TAP1 Impairs Antigen Presentation and Promotes Immune Evasion in Bladder Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This article unveils a critical mechanism of immune evasion in bladder cancer, which the O‐GlcNAc modification of TAP1 disrupts antigen presentation. This modification triggers HLA‐A degradation, shielding tumor cells from CD8+ T cell attack. The findings highlight targeting this pathway as a promising therapeutic avenue to sensitize tumors to ...

Breaking the Toughness‐Stretchability Trade‐Off in Hydrogels with Dynamic Hydrogen Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel nanocomposite hydrogel architecture overcomes the inherent conflict between toughness and stretchability by integrating uniformly dispersed aminopropyl‐hybrid‐phyllosilicate nanosheets within a polyacrylamide matrix. This design leverages a dynamic hydrogen‐bonding network to facilitate efficient energy dissipation and self‐recovery.
