Lorentz violation in gravity
, 2015 The study of gravitational theories without Lorentz invariance plays an
important role to understand different aspects of gravitation. In this short
contribution we will describe the construction, main advantages and some
phenomenological considerations ...Blas, Diegocore Geometrically Templated, Ultra‐Lightweight and High Strength Soap Films from Lyotropic Liquid Crystalline Graphene Oxide/Polymer Composites
Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.Shellular materials form spontaneously by dip coating the primitive triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) wireframe in an aqueous solution of lyotropic liquid crystalline graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets mixed with polymers. Regulated by surface tension, GO nanosheets align on the polymer soap film as the stress builds up during drying.Yinding Chi, Yuchong Gao, Mostafa Akbari, Kun‐Hao Yu, Kun‐Yu Wang, Mohit Patel, Shouhong Fan, Ziyun Zhang, Masoud Akbarzadeh, Shu Yang +9 morewiley +1 more sourceGravitation and Electromagnetism
, 2016 The realms of gravitation, belonging to Classical Physics, and
Electromagnetism, belonging to the Theory of the Electron and Quantum Mechanics
have remained apart as two separate pillars, inspite of a century of effort by
Physicists to reconcile them. In Sidharth, B. G.core Nature‐Inspired Sustainable Cooling for Photovoltaics with Enhanced Temperature‐Salinity Dynamics
Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.Addressing solar panel overheating, a nature‐inspired cooling system mimicking ocean currents is developed. A moisture‐absorbing solution layer uses sunlight, radiative cooling, and moisture processes to create temperature/salinity gradients, accelerating circulation. The prototype cools panels by up to 18.2 °C under sunlight, sustains cooling, rapidly Fuxiang Li, Zengguang Sui, Haosheng Lin, Yunren Sui, Francesco Vanin, Chunlei Zhang, Zonglong Zhu, Wei Wu +7 morewiley +1 more sourceFirst M87 Event Horizon Telescope Results. VI. The Shadow and Mass of the Central Black Hole
The Astrophysical Journal Letters, 2019 We present measurements of the properties of the central radio source in M87 using Event Horizon Telescope data obtained during the 2017 campaign.
