The Evolution of Autonomous Systems for Planetary Cave Exploration: A Review
ABSTRACT The exploration of Subsurface Access Points (SAPs), such as lava tubes on the Moon and Mars, has gained significant interest due to their potential as stable environments shielded from surface radiation and temperature extremes. These sites are considered high‐value targets for detecting water and signs of ancient life, and assessing their ...

Gravity‐Driven Assembly Dynamics of Liquid Metal Microdroplets for Functional Composite Films
This article presents a new understanding of the gravitational settling of liquid metal microdroplets in polymer resin films. It employs an experimental and analysis platform for quantification of the process‐structure relationships to inform the dynamics of gravity‐driven assembly in soft circuit architectures. ABSTRACT Liquid metal (LM) microdroplets

The in situ agglomeration behavior of semisolid Al–silicate inclusions in Si‐killed steel is studied using high‐temperature confocal scanning laser microscopy. Particle motion and interparticle forces at the steel/argon interface are quantified and compared with a modified capillary interaction model.

Unveiling the “Gray Zone”: Characterizing Young People's Moderate STEM Identities
ABSTRACT Understanding how students identify with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) is crucial for fostering broader and more equitable participation within these fields. While existing research has focused on students who either strongly identify with STEM or disengage from it, this study explores the moderate STEM identities of ...

Abstract Understanding the coastal zone of the Antarctic Ice Sheet (AIS), where it interacts with the Southern Ocean and warmer air masses, is crucial for predicting Antarctica's influence on the global climate and sea level. This region has multiple tipping mechanisms that could trigger large, rapid, and potentially irreversible changes in the AIS ...
