Dynamical ambiguities in a singular gravitational field [PDF]

open access: yesClassical and Quantum Gravity, 1998
We consider particle dynamics in singular gravitational field. In 2d spacetime the system splits into two independent gravitational systems without singularity. Dynamical integrals of each system define $sl(2,R)$ algebra, but the corresponding symmetry transformations are not defined globally. Quantization leads to ambiguity.

Gravitational Radiation from a Naked Singularity: Odd-Parity Perturbation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
A naked singularity occurs in the generic collapse of an inhomogeneous dust ball. We study the even-parity mode of gravitational waves from a naked singularity of the LemaˆotreTolman-Bondi spacetime.

Gravitational waves around a naked singularity [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
The motion of a spherical dust cloud is described by the Lemaitre-Tolman-Bondi solution and is completely specified by initial values of distributions of the rest mass density and specific energy of the dust fluid.

Axially Symmetric Null Dust Space-Time, Naked Singularity, and Cosmic Time Machine [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2017
We present a gravitational collapse null dust solution of the Einstein field equations. The space-time is regular everywhere except on the symmetry axis where it possesses a naked curvature singularity and admits one parameter isometry group, a generator

Singularities and self-similarity in gravitational collapse

open access: greenAdvanced Studies in Pure Mathematics, 2009
Einstein's field equations in general relativity admit a variety of solutions with spacetime singularities. Numerical relativity has recently revealed the properties of somewhat generic spacetime singularities. It has been found that in a variety of systems self-similar solutions can describe asymptotic or intermediate behaviour of more general ...

The future of the universe in modified gravitational theories: approaching a finite-time future singularity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We investigate the future evolution of the dark energy universe in modified gravities, including F(R) gravity, and string-inspired scalar Gauss–Bonnet and modified Gauss–Bonnet ones, and ideal fluid with an inhomogeneous equation of state (EoS).

Gravitational collapse and naked singularities [PDF]

open access: yesPramana, 2004
Gravitational collapse is one of the most striking phenomena in gravitational physics. The cosmic censorship conjecture has provided strong motivation for researches in this field. In the absence of general proof for the censorship, many examples have been proposed, in which naked singularity is the outcome of gravitational collapse. Recent development

Caustics type of gravitational singularities

open access: yes
We describe a new type of gravitational singularities which are caustics of spatial-temporal foliations. An example of gravitational wave solution forming a singularity with caustics is given.
