Improving Interlayer Interactions in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell through Carbon Nanotube‐Based Catalyst Design

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review highlights how carbon nanotube (CNT)–based catalyst designs enhance proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) performance by improving interlayer interactions. Vertically aligned CNTs facilitate water management, mass transfer, and electron conduction while promoting effective active sites and reducing interfacial resistance.

Water‐Wave Pancharatnam‐Berry Phase Induced by 4D Spin‐Orbit State Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The first observation of the Pancharatnam‐Berry (PB) phase in water waves is reported, revealing its extraordinary properties including unbounded phase values, spin‐momentum‐locked unidirectional channels, and a Poincaré hypersphere representation. These findings demonstrate the universality of the PB phase across different wave systems and in higher ...

Time-Delay Interferometry: The Key Technique in Data Pre-Processing Analysis of Space-Based Gravitational Waves

open access: yesUniverse
Space gravitational wave detection primarily focuses on the rich wave sources corresponding to the millihertz frequency band, which provide key information for studying the fundamental physics of cosmology and astrophysics.

Measurement of Parity Violation in the Early Universe using Gravitational-wave Detectors

open access: yes, 2012
A stochastic gravitational-wave background (SGWB) is expected to arise from the superposition of many independent and unresolved gravitational-wave signals, of either cosmological or astrophysical origin.

Symmetry Breaking in Chemical Systems: Engineering Complexity Through Self‐Organization and Marangoni Flows

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We show that solutal Marangoni flows in thin films climbing the outer surfaces of hydrophilic obstacles break circular Belousov‐Zhabotinsky waves into striking flower‐like patterns. Evaporation‐driven surface‐tension gradients, coupled with gravity, trigger the instability; above a threshold, petal number scales linearly with obstacle diameter ...

Gravitational wave astrophysics, data analysis and multimessenger astronomy

open access: yes, 2015
This paper reviews gravitational wave sources and their detection. One of the most exciting potential sources of gravitational waves are coalescing binary black hole systems. They can occur on all mass scales and be formed in numerous ways, many of which

Ocean Wave Energy Generators and Self‐Powered Wave Sensors Based on Triboelectric Nanogenerators

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
The key milestones of ocean wave energy‐driven triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) from 2015 to 2024. The development of ocean wave energy‐driven TENGs has undergone multiple stages of evolution, particularly in the design of their outer structures, with the goal of more efficiently utilizing ocean wave motion.
