Electrically responsive knitted liquid crystal elastomer actuators for underwater applications

A knitted liquid crystal elastomer‐liquid metal (LM) actuator enables electrically driven soft robotics in water. Core–shell fibers are melt‐spun, knitted, and infused with LM to combine internal conductivity, external insulation, and programmable textile deformation.

Vibrational Exfoliation of 2D Materials

Vibrational energy folds, fractures and exfoliates atomically and molecularly thin materials. Combining experimentation and computational methods, this unique vibrational synthesis pathway is revealed. This process overcomes barriers of existing approaches by processing 1000 g/L dispersions without loss in yield.

Tailoring Laser Powder Bed Fusion and Post‐Processing Parameters for JIS SKD61 Tool Steels: Surface Roughness, Microstructure, and Mechanical Properties

Laser powder bed fusion of JIS SKD61 tool steel is systematically optimized using a Taguchi design and ANOVA. Hatch spacing and layer thickness are identified as dominant parameters controlling surface roughness and tensile strength. Subsequent tempering at 600°C improves microstructural stability and mechanical performance, enabling high‐density SKD61
