The spread of non‐native species

open access: yesBiological Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The global redistribution of species through human agency is one of the defining ecological signatures of the Anthropocene, with biological invasions reshaping biodiversity patterns, ecosystem processes and services, and species interactions globally.

Plasmakristall‐4 Experiment: 10 Years of Operation in Orbit

open access: yesContributions to Plasma Physics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Plasmakristall‐4 (PK‐4) is a microgravity complex plasma laboratory operated for 10 years on board the International Space Station. Its main purpose is the particle‐resolved investigation of generic condensed matter phenomena using strongly coupled suspensions of microparticles immersed in low‐pressure gas‐discharge plasmas.

Gravitational waves from cosmological first-order phase transitions with precise hydrodynamics

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
We calculate the gravitational wave spectrum generated by sound waves during a cosmological phase transition, incorporating several advancements beyond the current state-of-the-art.

Instability mechanism and failure characteristics of underground cavern in block system under the action of seismic waves

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
Seismic waves with tensile stress, high amplitude, and low frequency are most likely to trigger block instability and sliding. Blocks with a single sliding surface are more prone to movement than those with multiple constraints, and roof‐positioned blocks are especially vulnerable to slide.

Gravitational Waves from Gravitational Collapse

open access: yesLiving Reviews in Relativity, 2003
Gravitational wave emission from the gravitational collapse of massive stars has been studied for more than three decades. Current state-of-the-art numerical investigations of collapse include those that use progenitors with more realistic angular ...

Tailoring Thermophysical Properties and Multiscale Machine Learning Modeling of 2D Nanomaterial‐Infused Beeswax as a Green NePCM for Sustainable Thermal Management Systems

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This study develops eco‐friendly two‐dimensional nanoparticle‐enhanced phase change materials (2D NePCMs) using biodegradable beeswax infused with rGO, GO, and MXene nanoparticles. Experimental results demonstrated up to 21.9% enhancement in thermal conductivity with minimal latent heat loss, while machine learning models achieved >95% predictive ...
