Predicting Performance of Hall Effect Ion Source Using Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
This study introduces HallNN, a machine learning tool for predicting Hall effect ion source performance using a neural network ensemble trained on data generated from numerical simulations. HallNN provides faster and more accurate predictions than numerical methods and traditional scaling laws, making it valuable for designing and optimizing Hall ...

A Method for Land Vehicle Gravity Anomaly Measurement Combining an Inertial Navigation System, Odometer, and Geo-Information System

open access: yesWorld Electric Vehicle Journal
Land vehicle gravity anomaly measurement relies heavily on global navigation satellite system (GNSS). However, when gravity measurement is carried out in special environments such as forests, valleys and tunnels, GNSS observation quality will inevitably ...

2D inverse modeling of the gravity field due to a chromite deposit using the Marquardt’s algorithm and forced neural network

open access: yesBulletin of the Mineral Research and Exploration, 2020
In this paper, two modeling method are employed. First, a method based on the Marquardt’s algorithm is presented to invert the gravity anomaly due to a finite vertical cylinder source.

Playing in the Dark: Invisible Chess as a Laboratory for Strategic AI

open access: yesAI &Innovation, EarlyView.
This paper shows that strategic AI evaluated on perfect‐information benchmarks can be brittle in real adversarial settings. By using invisible chess as a benchmark for hidden state and deception, it argues for stricter testing, human oversight, and more cautious governance of high‐stakes AI systems.

Lymphatic Abnormalities in Noonan Syndrome Extend Beyond Clinically Apparent Disease

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lymphatic disease represents a well‐described manifestation of Noonan syndrome (NS), yet the full phenotypic spectrum remains incompletely characterized, especially in asymptomatic individuals. We conducted a cross‐sectional study including 10 individuals with NS (four with peripheral lymphedema and six without) and 10 age‐ and sex‐matched ...

Duality anomalies in linearized gravity

open access: yesPhysical Review D
Classical linearized gravity admits a dual formulation in terms of a higher-rank tensor field. However, proposing a prescription for the instanton sectors of linearized gravity and its dual, we show that they may be . The duality anomaly is obtained by resolving the dual graviton theories into vector-valued

Streamlining Diagnosis of Bardet–Biedl Syndrome: New Diagnostic Algorithm With Updated Criteria

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Considerable advances have been made in our understanding of Bardet–Biedl syndrome (BBS), particularly in its core clinical features and molecular genetics, warranting an update to the existing diagnostic criteria framework. Using a rigorous, evidence‐based, and consensus‐driven process, a multidisciplinary group of international experts and ...
