Gravity analysis of the offset between crustal structure and topography in the Liupan Shan, northeast Tibetan Plateau

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space, 2020
Dense gravity/GPS measurements collected around the southwest margin of the Ordos Block in 2014 and 2017 were used to obtain three gravity anomaly profiles across the Liupan Shan Mountains.

Ultrasound Modulation of Visual Circuits in Mice Independent of Auditory Confound

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, Qiu et al. found that low‐intensity ultrasound can directly activate sparse ultrasound‐sensitive neurons (UNs) in the primary visual cortex (V1) of deafened mice. The proportion of these sparse UNs is pressure‐dependent. Furthermore, ultrasound modulates visual circuitry with distinct excitatory and inhibitory effects.

Anti-Swaying Control Strategy of Ship-Mounted 3-RCU Parallel Platform Based on Dynamic Gravity Compensation

open access: yesMachines
It is essential to ensure stability during marine transportation or the installation of high center of gravity loads. The heavy loads increase gravity disturbance, affecting the steady-state-error control of the multiple degrees of freedom (DOFs) motion ...

Reliable Flight Control: Gravity-Compensation-First Principle

open access: yes, 2022
Safety is always the priority in aviation. However, current state-of-the-art passive fault-tolerant control is too conservative to use; current state-of-the-art active fault-tolerant control requires time to perform fault detection and diagnosis, and control switching. But it may be later to recover impaired aircraft.
