Gravity compensation and optimal control of actuated multibody system dynamics [PDF]
This work investigates the gravity compensation topic, from a control perspective. The gravity could be levelled by a compensating mechanical system or in the control law, such as proportional derivative (PD) plus gravity, sliding mode control, or ...

Effects of Local Gravity Compensation on Motor Control During Altered Environmental Gravity [PDF]
Our sensorimotor control is well adapted to normogravity environment encountered on Earth and any change in gravity significantly disturbs our movement.

Controlling for Heterogeneity in Gravity Models of Trade and Integration [PDF]
This paper compares various specifications of the gravity model of trade as nested versions of a general specification that uses bilateral country-pair fixed effects to control for heterogeneity. For each specification, we show that the a theoretical restrictions to obtain them from the general model are not supported statistically. Because the gravity

Human manual control performance in hyper-gravity [PDF]
Hyper-gravity provides a unique environment to study how misperceptions impact control of orientation relative to gravity. Previous studies have found that static and dynamic roll tilts are perceptually overestimated in hyper-gravity. The current investigation quantifies how this influences control of orientation.

It is essential to ensure stability during marine transportation or the installation of high center of gravity loads. The heavy loads increase gravity disturbance, affecting the steady-state-error control of the multiple degrees of freedom (DOFs) motion ...

Research on the design and simulation of grid-connected system of vertical gravity energy storage [PDF]
Due to the characteristics of the body’s movement, the output power of the gravity energy storage system is unstable. When the system is connected to the grid, smooth control of the output power is required.

Gravity is controlled by the cosmological constant [PDF]
We discuss a Randall-Sundrum-type two D-braneworld model in which D-branes possess different values of the tensions from those of the charges, and derive an effective gravitational equation on the branes. As a consequence, the Einstein-Maxwell theory is realized together with the non-zero cosmological constant.
