The Influence of Bathymetry on Regional Marine Geoid Modeling in Northern Europe
Although Northern Europe has been the target area in many regionwide geoid determination studies, the research has been land-focused, neglecting bathymetry information. With new projects, such as the Baltic Sea Chart Datum 2000, the attention is shifting

Spontaneously generated tensor field gravity [PDF]
An arbitrary local theory of a symmetric two-tensor field $H_{ }$ in Minkowski spacetime is considered, in which the equations of motion are required to be compatible with a nonlinear length-fixing constraint $H_{ }^{2}=\pm M^{2}$ leading to spontaneous Lorentz invariance violation, SLIV ($M$ is the proposed scale for SLIV).

Autonomous navigation and orbit determination are key problems of asteroid exploration missions. Inter-satellite range link is a type of measurement widely used in the orbit determination of Earth satellites, but not so widely used in missions around ...

For the construction and maintenance of large-scale infrastructure such as the Gotthard Base Tunnel or the CERN-FCC, it is vital to take into account the influence of the varying gravity field, because most geodetic measurements are referring to the local plumb lines and equipotential surfaces, deviating from purely geometrical positioning by e.g. GNSS.

AbstractUsing computer algebra to run Einstein’s equations “backward”, from field to source rather than from source to field, we design an artificial gravity field for a space station or spaceship. Everywhere inside astronauts experience normal Earth gravity, while outside they float freely.

Horizon thermodynamics in fourth-order gravity
In the framework of horizon thermodynamics, the field equations of Einstein gravity and some other second-order gravities can be rewritten as the thermodynamic identity: $dE=TdS-PdV$.
