Model for gravity at large distances

open access: yes, 2010
We construct an effective model for gravity of a central object at large scales. To leading order in the large radius expansion we find a cosmological constant, a Rindler acceleration, a term that sets the physical scales and subleading terms.

POLISH AGRI-FOOD TRADE WITH NON-EU COUNTRIES – A GRAVITY MODEL ANALYSIS [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of the Polish Association of Agricultural and Agribusiness Economists, 2019
The main aim of the article was to indicate the influence of selected determinants of Poland’s agri-food export to countries outside the European Union.

Covariant Effective Action and One-Loop Renormalization of 2D Dilaton Gravity with Fermionic Matter

open access: yes, 1993
Two dimensional dilaton gravity interacting with a four-fermion model and scalars is investigated, all the coefficients of the Lagrangian being arbitrary functions of the dilaton field.

A New Combination Approach for Gibbs Phenomenon Suppression in Regional Validation of Global Gravity Field Model: A Case Study in North China

open access: yesRemote Sensing
A global gravity field model (GGM) is essential to be validated with ground-based or airborne observational data for the accurate application of the GGM at a regional scale.

Arctan-Gravity Model [PDF]

open access: yesUniverse, 2015
A new gravity model with the function F(R) = (1/β) arctan (βR – β2R2) instead of the Ricci scalar in the Einstein–Hilbert action, describing inflation of the Universe, is suggested and analyzed. We obtain constant curvature solutions of the model in the Jordan frame. Performing the conformal transformation of the metric, the potential and the mass of a

Atom Interferometry tests of the isotropy of post-Newtonian gravity

open access: yes, 2007
We present a test of the local Lorentz invariance of post-Newtonian gravity by monitoring Earth's gravity with a Mach-Zehnder atom interferometer that features a resolution of about 8*10^(-9)g/Hz^(1/2), the highest reported thus far. Expressed within the

Refining satellite Altimetry-Derived gravity anomaly model with shipborne gravity using multilayer perceptron neural networks

open access: yesScientific Reports
This study refines the gravity anomaly model derived from altimetry data by employing a multilayer perceptron (MLP) neural network to integrate multi-source geophysical data (longitude, latitude, gravity anomaly, geoid height, bathymetry, and sediment ...

Synthetic Demand Flow Generation Using the Proximity Factor

open access: yesForecasting
One of the biggest challenges in designing a logistics network is predicting the demand flows between all pairs of points in the network. Currently, the gravity model is mainly used for estimating the demand flow between points.
