Fully gravure printed wireless cyclic voltammetry tags

Proceedings of the 5th Electronics System-integration Technology Conference (ESTC), 2014
For the first time, fully gravure printed wireless cyclic voltammetry (CV) tag is reported as a platform for the disposable wireless sensor tags by utilizing Ag nano-particle based conducting ink, BaTiO 3 nano-particle based dielectric ink and single-walled carbon nanotube based semiconducting ink. The printed CV tag contains four functional units for

Photopolymer Printing Surfaces for Gravure

The Journal of Photographic Science, 1978
AbstractA polyamide-type of commercial photopolymer was used to form a flexible gravure plate by exposure through a standard half-tone positive. The range of suitable exposures and resulting “etch” depths and cell volumes were determined. Comparisons with a theoretical model of cell volume were made. The plate was used to produce proofs whose densities

A gravure printed antenna on shape-stable transparent nanopaper

Nanoscale, 2014
This work presents a solution-processed gravure printed antenna on robust transparent nanopaper for potential Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) application. The nanopaper, having excellent dimensional stability in water, was obtained by glutaraldehyde treatment with hydrochloric (HCl) acid as a catalyst.

Gravure Printing of Graphene for Large‐area Flexible Electronics

Advanced Materials, 2014
Gravure printing of graphene is demonstrated for the rapid production of conductive patterns on flexible substrates. Development of suitable inks and printing parameters enables the fabrication of patterns with a resolution down to 30 μm. A mild annealing step yields conductive lines with high reliability and uniformity, providing an efficient method ...

Study about Influencing of Printing Process on Gravure Printing Ink Transfer

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
Abstract. Gravure printing has the characteristics including thick ink layer, bright and homochromatic color, rich and sharp tone, and strong stereoscopic impression. In the packaging-printing field, gravure printing gets more and more attentions. But in the region of gravure printing process, the study on gravure printing ink transfer is not as deep ...

Gravure printed organic rectifying diodes operating at high frequencies

Organic Electronics, 2009
Organic rectifier diodes operating at 10 MHz made using roll-to-roll compatible mass printing processes to define patterns and deposit inks are reported. The diodes consist of a layer of poly(triarylamine) sandwiched between layers of silver and copper.

R2R gravure and inkjet printed RF resonant tag

Microelectronic Engineering, 2011
The fabrication of passive circuitry by gravure and inkjet printing is studied. A chipless inductively coupled RF resonant tag is analyzed as a test structure. A floating-bridge layout is employed to provide high yield when fabricated by roll-to-roll (R2R) printing.
