Robust Encryption of Quantum Medical Images

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Security of medical media is important for patient safety and confidentiality. This paper proposes a framework for the chaos-based quantum encryption of healthcare images. In the framework, healthcare staff in one location send cipher images to the cloud.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Facial Expression Recognition Using Fusion Features Based on Center-Symmetric Local Octonary Pattern

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
A local feature descriptor has gained a lot of interest in many applications, such as image retrieval, texture classification, and face recognition. This paper proposes a novel local feature descriptor: center-symmetric local octonary pattern (CS-LOP ...

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Penerapan SLAM Gmapping dengan Robot Operating System Menggunakan Laser Scanner pada Turtlebot

open access: yesJurnal Rekayasa Elektrika, 2020
The manouver ability from one place to another in order to accomplish some tasks safely is a basic requirement of mobile robotics. Current robotic’s navigation systems require a ’real world’ map data, acquired by on-board sensors, to carry out ...

Investigating the cell of origin and novel molecular targets in Merkel cell carcinoma: a historic misnomer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study indicates that Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) does not originate from Merkel cells, and identifies gene, protein & cellular expression of immune‐linked and neuroendocrine markers in primary and metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) tumor samples, linked to Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) status, with enrichment of B‐cell and other immune cell

On the Gray index of phantom maps

open access: yesTopology, 2005
A phantom map from a CW complex \(X\) to a space \(Y\) is a map such that the restrictions to the skeleta \(X_n\) are all null-homotopic. A phantom map \(f\) has finite Gray index if there exists \(n\) such that every extension of \(f\) over the cone on \(X_{n+1}\) is a phantom map. For \(X\) and \(Y\) of finite type, it has been conjectured that every

Face recognition algorithm based on attractive local second gradient contours

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2021
In order to solve the problem that traditional LDP algorithms is difficult to balance the effectiveness of feature extraction and the stability of feature encoding, an attractive local second gradient contours (ALSGC) face feature extraction algorithm ...

Color Dipole Moments for Edge Detection

open access: yes, 2009
Dipole and higher moments are physical quantities used to describe a charge distribution. In analogy with electromagnetism, it is possible to define the dipole moments for a gray-scale image, according to the single aspect of a gray-tone map.

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...
