EFFECT OF POLYMERS DISPERSING LUBRICATING GREASES ON WEAR IN DUSTY ENVIRONMENT [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Egyptian Society of Tribology, 2011
The operating environment in cement industry is particularly severe in terms of the high ambient dust concentrations. During the severe working conditions dust concentrations of the order of 100 to 500 times higher than the normal may be encountered. The

Effect of Base Oil Type in Grease Composition on the Lubricating Film Formation in EHD Contacts

open access: yesLubricants, 2018
The service life of rolling bearings is significantly affected by the film formation in elastohydrodynamic (EHD) contacts, which depends on the operating conditions, like rotational speed or temperature.

FRICTION AND WEAR OF MOVING SURFACES IN ABRASIVE CONTAMINATED ENVIRONMENT [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Egyptian Society of Tribology, 2011
In the present work, graphite (C) and polymethyl  methacrylate (PMMA) were used as solid lubricants dispersed in lithium grease. Their effect on friction and wear of moving surfaces contaminated by solid contaminants in the cement plant is discussed. The

Inverse Vulcanized Sulfur Polymer Composites From Poultry‐Industry Products and Lignocellulosic Biomass Waste

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
This work explores the use of various fillers, including eggshell powder, feather meal, peanut hulls, and sawdust to reinforce a base binder GFS90 (comprised of 90 wt.% sulfur, 5 wt.% chicken fat, and 5 wt.% sunflower oil). The resulting composites showed impressive compressive strengths ranging from 15.3 to 36.2 MPa, making them a potential ...

EFFECT OF SILICA NANOPARTICLES AND MULTIWALL CARBON NANOTUBES DISPERSING LUBRICATING GREASE IN METAL FORMING [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Egyptian Society of Tribology, 2019
The present work discusses the influence of friction in metal forming. Experiments were carried out to determine the coefficient of friction and wear displayed by bearing steel ball sliding against aluminum (Al) sheet.

Pure Inverse Spin Hall Effect in Ferromagnetic Ni80Fe20/Y3Fe5O12 (YIG) Heterostructures via the Longitudinal Spin Seebeck Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
A pure inverse spin Hall effect (ISHE) is demonstrated in ferromagnetic Ni₈₀Fe2₀/YIG heterostructures via the longitudinal spin Seebeck effect. By employing symmetry‐controlled geometries and reference samples, anomalous Nernst contributions are quantitatively eliminated, revealing intrinsic spin–charge conversion in Ni₈₀Fe2₀.
