Sustainable Synthesis of NiMo Alloy Nanoparticles for Hydrogen Evolution Catalysis Using a Recyclable Ionic Liquid Solvent. [PDF]

open access: yesChemSusChem
NiMo alloy nanoparticles synthesized in BMIM‐NTf2 ionic liquid exhibit composition‐dependent hydrogen evolution activity. The ionic liquid solvent is recovered, purified, and reused for six synthesis cycles while preserving nanoparticle structure and catalytic performance.

Composting of grease trap scum waste and green waste: Studying the effects of mix composition on physicochemical and biological process parameters [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Recycling of Organic Waste in Agriculture, 2023
Purpose A huge number of sewer blockages are caused due to scum depositions. The scum waste from the kitchen wastewater can be converted into a resource by composting it.

The Utilization of Cashew Shell Residues and Grease Waste for Charcoal Briquette Production

open access: yesApplied Environmental Research, 2017
This study aims to investigate appropriate utilization of mixing grease waste (GW) from a canteen’s grease trap with cashew shell charcoal (CSC) to produce briquette fuel by weight (GW: CSC) in the ratio 1:2, 2:2, 3:2 and 4:2.

Biomethane Potential of Selected Organic Waste and Sewage Sludge at Different Temperature Regimes

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
Sewage sludge (SS) generation and its management still pose a problem in many countries. Anaerobic co-digestion (AcD) of SS with grease trap sludge (GTS) and organic fraction of municipal sewage waste (OFMSW), which are two easily biodegradable ...

Caracterização físico-química de resíduos oleosos do saneamento e dos óleos e graxas extraídos visando a conversão em biocombustíveis

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2014
Oily waste from sanitation processes was characterized for its potential use in the generation of biofuels. The waste residues studied showed high levels of oil and grease, reaching up to 87% (m/m) in a grease trap of a food company, showing that these ...

The recovery of oil from a lot of oily wastewater and the production of biodiesel from its oil

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2019
This paper describes how to produce a biodiesel fuel (BDF) from the waste soup of ramen noodles, especially focusing on the recovery process of the oil (triglycerides) from a large amount of waste soup or the oily wastewater disposed of by pouring it ...

Effects of lipid concentration on thermophilic anaerobic co-digestion of food waste and grease waste in a siphon-driven self-agitated anaerobic reactor

open access: yesBiotechnology Reports, 2018
To investigate the influence of lipid concentration (of total solids, w/w) on anaerobic treatment of food waste under thermophilic condition, a siphon-driven self-agitated anaerobic reactor was operated for 220 days.
