The Reasons for the Termination of the Productionof Greek Stamped Amphorae in the mid 1st century BC
Greek amphorae were stamped from the end of the 6th and the beginning of the 5th centuries BC onwards. This practice became important during the Hellenistic Period. Stamping amphorae continued until the middle of the 1st century BC among Greek settlements. During the 1st century BC stamping amphorae ceased in these areas for historical reasons.openaire +1 more source
