Aptamer‐Based Delivery Systems for VEGF and NGF Modulation in Ocular Therapies

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Aptamer‐based delivery systems targeting NGF and VEGF hold significant potential for precise and sustained treatment of complex diseases affecting both the anterior and posterior segments of the eye. This review critically summarizes current strategies for NGF and VEGF delivery as well as VEGF sequestration, providing a clinical perspective on how ...

Packed for Ossification: High‐Density Bioprinting of hPDC Spheroids in HAMA Toward Endochondral Ossification

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Human periosteum‐derived cell spheroids bioprinted at high density within a hyaluronic acid matrix promote fusion and hypertrophic cartilage formation in vitro. Early encapsulation enhances spheroid interaction and matrix maturation, generating scalable cartilage templates intended for endochondral bone regeneration.

Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Vibrato Monte Carlo and the calculation of greeks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In computational ¯nance Monte Carlo simulation can be used to calculate the correct prices of ¯nancial options, and to compute the values of the as- sociated Greeks (the derivatives of the option price with respect to certain input parameters).

Global regularity and probabilistic schemes for free boundary surfaces of multivariate American derivatives and their Greeks

open access: yes, 2010
In a rather general setting of multivariate stochastic volatility market models we derive global iterative probabilistic schemes for computing the free boundary and its Greeks for a generic class of American derivative models using front-fixing methods ...

Did Ancient Greeks Drink Beer? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In some recent scholarship it has been suggested that ancient Greeks commonly drank beer. However, a careful examination of ancient sources, both for negative evidence (the lack of references to beer-making and beer-drinking among Greeks) as well as for ...
