تم تقسيم خمسة عشر من ثيران الماشية المهجنة التي يبلغ عمرها حوالي 22-24 شهرًا (يتراوح متوسط وزن الجسم من 291.0 إلى 298.1 كجم) بشكل عشوائي إلى 3 مجموعات من 5 حيوانات وفقًا لتصميم الكتلة العشوائية. تم تغذية الحيوانات في المجموعة 1 بخليط مركز يحتوي على نخالة القمح 97 ٪، وخليط معدني 2 ٪ وملح 1 ٪ بالإضافة إلى قمم قصب السكر الأخضر المفروم (SCT) كمصدر للخشونة.
