Decoding Heptazine Architectures: From Molecular Association to Structural Insight

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A comprehensive study (NMR and theoretical) of three novel heptazine derivatives that self‐assemble into dimers has been conducted, highlighting their versatility as a platform for multifunctional supramolecular and optoelectronic materials. ABSTRACT Heptazine (Hpz) derivatives display remarkable supramolecular organization governed by noncovalent ...

Control of Gemcitabine Activity With Blue and Red Light

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Treating cancer with chemotherapy is generally associated with many side effects, which can be addressed by selectively releasing the desired drugs with visible light. Sixteen new blue light‐activatable cytostatics were introduced, with the gemcitabine derivative exhibiting ideal properties.

Multimodal Fluorescent MOF@BODIPY Platform: Bridging Sensing and Mechanistic Insight

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hybrid metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) that integrate organic chromophores constitute powerful platforms for optical sensing by combining structural order with tunable photophysics. Incorporating photoresponsive chromophores into MOFs enables sensitive probing of guest–framework interactions through well‐defined luminescent signatures. Herein,

Cyclization of a 1,8‐Diphenylanthracene by Scholl Reactions to Form Five‐ and Seven‐Membered Ring Embedded Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Reactions of 10‐mesityl‐1,8‐diphenylanthracene with DDQ/TfOH produced three products via sequential formation of a five‐ or seven‐membered ring. Unexpectedly, the triply cyclized product with a rubicene substructure was formed through cyclization involving 1,2‐methyl shift.

Rhodium‐Catalyzed Synthesis of Enantioenriched α‐Substituted Primary Amines Through Asymmetric Transfer Hydrogenation

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Enantioenriched α‐substituted primary amines are efficiently prepared by rhodium‐catalyzed asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of ortho‐hydroxyaryl N─H imines under mild conditions using a low catalyst loading and ammonium formate as the hydrogen source in high yields (up to 99%) and enantioselectivities (up to 99% ee).
