Phase Engineering of Atomically Precise Nanoclusters (APNCs) of Gold and Beyond

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Engineering the structural phase of materials is of paramount importance for both fundamental research and practical applications. In this Review, we summarize the recent progress in controlling the phases of atomically precise nanoclusters (APNCs) of gold, silver and copper, as well as bimetallic systems. The phase‐enabled material properties of APNCs

Optimization of Phenolic Compound Extraction from Pistachio Green Hulls: Influence of Blanching, Harvest Time, Solvent Concentration, and Extraction Method

open access: yesJournal of Nuts
The processing of pistachios results in the generation of a substantial byproduct in the form of underutilized pistachio green hulls. This study aims to identify the most effective strategies for extracting beneficial phenolic compounds from these hulls.

LOGIC: Towards green methanol from CO2

open access: yes
The thesis investigates a novel reactor concept for methanol synthesis from CO2. This LOGIC reactor integrates a reaction zone, heat integration zone and condenser section in a single pressure vessel, thereby bypassing the inherent equilibrium limitations of the reaction and allowing a near-100% yield of methanol over the reactor.

Lipid Nanoparticle Co‐Delivery of mRNA and a Small Molecule Drug for Oral Cancer Chemoimmunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Co‐encapsulation of p53 mRNA and the small molecule ciclopirox within a lipid nanoparticle yields an all‐in‐one chemoimmunotherapy for oral squamous cell carcinoma. The platform engages caspase‐driven apoptosis in cancer cells while repolarizing tumor‐associated macrophages, achieving tumor reduction in both p53‐susceptible and p53‐resistant models and

Mechanically Robust and Depolymerizable Polyesters With Near‐Complete Monomer Recovery for Circular Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A sustainable δ‐lactone‐based polymer platform enables multimodal additive manufacturing through DLP, DIW, and FFF, combining tunable crystallinity, photocurable networks, mechanical robustness, and functional response. The printed materials can be mechanically reprocessed and chemically depolymerized into recoverable monomers, demonstrating a closed ...

Anomalous Crystallinity and Magnetism in Chemically Disordered Coherent Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Coherent isostructural high‐entropy oxide heterostructures are realized despite remarkable >5% interfacial lattice distortion. The resulting buried interface exhibits abrupt valence reconstruction which contributes to 2 × enhanced exchange bias in the heterostructure relative to constituent layers, demonstrating how chemical disorder enabled anomalous ...
