Green Open Space: Awareness for Health or Sustainability?

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science, 2018
Universitas Indonesia in cooperation with American Red Cross and Indonesian Red Cross have been assisting green open space revitalisation program in 7 locations in Bogor Regency (2016-2017). The program was held under The Urban Disaster Risk Reduction Greater Jakarta Project; an initiative program from American Red Cross Indonesia. This project was not

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Sustainable Urban form and challenges of open space utilization, Akure, Nigeria as a case study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Urban Sustainable Development, 2020
Sustainable urbanism is a global issue with a plethora of publications both theoretical and practical. This has been spurred by the encroachment on green open space in the form of development and by extension sprawl. This is now seen as the main cause of

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Surakarta’s Green Open Spaces: An Exploration of Their Biodiversity

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science
Abstract Surakarta, also known as Solo, is strategically located to serve as a center of national activities. It is a key region of Central Java Province and forms part of the Joglosemar (Yogyakarta-Solo-Semarang) economic triangle. These factors have led to changes in land use for infrastructure development. As a

Management Policy of Green Open Space in Urban Area [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Part of urban space that contains crops, plants and vegetation is known as the Green Open Space (GOS). Several urban areas, with extensive changes and undeveloped land, require the City Green Open Space (CGOS), which can be a 'counterweight' to the ...

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...
