THE THEORY OF SPACE CONCEPTS RELATED TO FORMULA GREEN OPEN SPACE

open access: yesJournal of architecture&ENVIRONMENT, 2014
The concept of green open space is still stuck on the concept of space-based theory of absolute space by Issac Newton, who see space as a separation between the mass of the building as a container (solid) and open space (void). Meanwhile, the demands of the world's cities today to combine city life with the natural environment in the city increasingly ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

The impact of noise on green open space value

open access: yesJournal of Environmental Management
I investigate the effect of noise on the amenity value of urban green open spaces in Prague, Czech Republic. First, I use standard hedonic pricing model exploiting cross-sectional and quasi-experimental variation in the apartment price data and then I analyse green open spaces quality inferred from a quantitative spatial model.

Healing Garden as a Green Open Space in Hospital

open access: yesInternational Islamic Medical Journal
Introduction: Natural environments within healthcare settings have received growing interest for their potential role in supporting health and well-being. Healing gardens are typically green open spaces within hospitals that promote the physical, mental, and emotional rehabilitation of patients, also benefiting the staff and visitors.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

MANAGEMENT OF GREEN OPEN SPACE GREEN OPEN SPACE MANAGEMENT ON THE MAKASSAR CITY INDEPENDENCE PIONEER ROAD CORRIDOR

open access: yes
Abstract This research aims to develop principles, develop innovations, and develop these in the arrangement of green open spaces. The type of research used is qualitative and descriptive quantitative research. In this study, the condition of the road median and the level of tree/plant damage were measured directly, while the community's aspirations ...

Surakarta’s Green Open Spaces: An Exploration of Their Biodiversity

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science
Abstract Surakarta, also known as Solo, is strategically located to serve as a center of national activities. It is a key region of Central Java Province and forms part of the Joglosemar (Yogyakarta-Solo-Semarang) economic triangle. These factors have led to changes in land use for infrastructure development. As a

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.
