An Analysis of Green Propulsion Applied to NASA Missions [PDF]

open access: yes
The advantages of green propulsion for five mission classes are examined, including a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) mission (GPM), a Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (GEO) mission (SDO), a High Earth Orbit (HEO) mission (MMS), a lunar mission (LRO), and a planetary ...

Dual‐Functional Ingestible Passive Capsules for High‐Throughput Intestinal Sampling with Sealed Containment and Targeted Drug Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
To address challenges in high‐throughput intestinal sampling with sealed containment and target drug delivery, we developed a dual‐functional ingestible passive capsule with a dual‐triggered control system based on pH‐response and mechanical actuation.

Recommended Figures of Merit for Green Monopropellants [PDF]

open access: yes
Hydrazine propellant has historically been used as a rocket thruster monopropellant since the mid-1960s. Mission managers are well aware of its characteristics and performance. However, it is a known toxic chemical and a wide effort is underway to reduce

Near‐Infrared‐Driven Metal–Organic Frameworks‐Based Nanorobots for Controlled Photothermal‐Chemical Therapy Synergistic Induction of Cancer Cell Death

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
To achieve efficient cancer cell death, a bowl‐shaped PDA@UiO‐66@DOX nanorobot drug‐delivery nanoplatform was developed. Near‐infrared irradiation not only drives the nanorobot to exhibit self‐thermophoretic motion and elevates temperature but also triggers Doxorubicin (DOX) release via hyperthermia, enhancing cancer cells uptake of DOX and thereby ...

Multidirectional Motion Strategy of Miniature Water Surface Robot Actuated by Single Exciter

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A novel multidirectional motion strategy on the water surface based on a single exciter is proposed, and a single‐exciter single‐plate module is developed for actuation. The driving forces generation mechanism of the module is revealed from the perspective of the asymmetric surface wave field.
