Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Driving Green Supply Chain Management Performance through Supplier Selection and Value Internalisation:A Self-Determination Theory Perspective [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This paper applies self-determination theory (SDT) to green supply chain management (GSCM) and explores how green supplier selection (GSS) drives GSCM performance and how realisation of improved GSCM performance is contingent upon SDT mechanisms of ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

A framework for analysis of the supplier selection in green supply chain [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The main purpose of the article is to build the framework of the supplier assessment model in the green supply chain. To achieve this purpose, specific objectives were taken to consideration: 1) an indication of the basis for the analysis of supplier ...

Environmental and Social Factors in Supplier Assessment: Fuzzy-Based Green Supplier Selection

open access: yesSustainability, 2023
Supplier selection is a key process that entails selecting suppliers who provide high-quality, cost-effective products or services with predetermined schedules and quantities. Organisations are currently reconsidering their supply chain strategies in order to incorporate environmental and ecological issues into their operations.
